After marriage and early motherhood she knew it was time to open it up and let it bleed. She picked up her guitar and on that day she wrote Blind Girl. This haunting song is about the shedding of old struggles and the reclaiming of one's own life. She is a true unplugged, acoustic artist. What separates her from the rest is a built –in amplifier. Hers is a voice that invites us to feel… that reaches into the soul of her audience and pulls out emotions that run deep, and awakens those that lie dormant. While currently working on her first cd she continues to play at coffee houses, festivals, art shows, fundraisers, private parties, house concerts, artist markets and open mics. If you'd like to book Kim for your next show, party or event, you can contact her at ksaltzmann@hotmail.com Smythe and Taylor![]() Since 2000, Smythe and Taylor (TC Smythe and Gary Taylor) have played in hundreds of venues, within and beyond Texas. They recently returned to Houston after a successful 2006 tour through London, England, (at the Guildford Music Festival), The Hague, Netherlands and Warsaw, Poland. Their latest CD, “Maybe it’s Because I’m Missing You”, was nominated in four categories of the 2006 Texas Music Awards and won the prestigious Woody Guthrie Songwriting Award.
