Mimi Durango and Sister Sister y Los Misters

Do you like salsa? We're not talking the dance craze either! We're talking about the hot, savory chili peppers, the fresh tomatoes, and all of the spices that come together for a wonderful taste that keeps you coming back for more! If you do, you will love the music of Mimi Durango, a founding member of Sister Sister. (713) 514-0212

July-

MIKE DARNELL

Perhaps my music could best be described as “the flues”, an amalgamation of folk and blues.
I was weaned on the folk/rock music of the ‘60’s and bands like Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds.
The blues and roots music has become a heavy influence in the more recent years. I incorporate
guitar, mandolin, harmonica and percussion into a blend of ballads and blues, mostly original but
occasionally some traditional and classic covers.

STEVE PRICE

“Steve’s excellent lyrics lead you down life’s paths of reckless abandon, somehow adding a little
sound advice along the way. One certainty is you know he’s had a broken heart and lived to write
about it.” Wrecks Bell, musician and owner, Old Quarter Acoustic Café, Galveston, TX.“Steve Price
has a solid sense of the singer/songwriter tradition. In his songs, hecontinues the legacy of this
heroes: Kristofferson, Shaver, and Van Zandt.” Jack Saunders, musician and owner, White Cat
Recording Studio, Houston, TX.

Kim Saltzmann

Kim Saltzmann found her own voice in her late twenties. After marriage and early motherhood she knew it was time to open it up and let it bleed. She picked up her guitar and on that day she wrote Blind Girl. This haunting song is about the shedding of old struggles and the reclaiming of one's own life.

She is a true unplugged, acoustic artist. What separates her from the rest is a built –in amplifier. Hers is a voice that invites us to feel… that reaches into the soul of her audience and pulls out emotions that run deep, and awakens those that lie dormant.

While currently working on her first cd she continues to play at coffee houses, festivals, art shows, fundraisers, private parties, house concerts, artist markets and open mics. If you'd like to book Kim for your next show, party or event, you can contact her at ksaltzmann@hotmail.com
